Deventer Interior Design Days 2026: DiDD MUTE

DiDD MUTE is the annual design festival of Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Deventer. For five days, students and designers present exhibitions, workshops, and masterclasses centered around the theme MUTE. The event is aimed at professionals and interested parties from interior design, architecture, and design.

The Deventer Interior Design Days (DiDD) is the annual design event of the Interior Design & Interior Brand Identity program at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. For five days, students, graduates, and designers showcase their work at unique locations scattered throughout the historic city center of Deventer. The event connects design practice with education and attracts professionals from interior design, architecture, and design.

Theme: MUTE

This year, DiDD is dedicated to MUTE. The theme invites you to pause, listen, and find your direction anew — as a designer, as a professional. Students and makers translate this theme into exhibitions, urban interventions, and presentations at locations such as the Lebuinus Church, MIMIK Film Theater, Architectuurcentrum Rondeel, Museum EICAS, and Boekhandel Praamstra.

Program for professionals in Deventer

The program offers more than just exhibitions. Professionals can participate in masterclasses, workshops, and a DiDD Design Talk. Additionally, a propaedeutic certificate ceremony and a festive graduation ceremony for Interior Design & Interior Brand Identity alumni will take place. Trade associations such as BNI, BNO, and Interieur Carrière are actively involved in the event.

DiDD is aimed at students, professionals, and the interested public. The exhibitions are freely accessible. Separate tickets are available for the DiDD Design Talk at MIMIK. Museum EICAS offers visitors a reduced rate during DiDD.
