The European Cyclo-cross Championships, where the best riders in Europe compete for the continental title. Back on historic ground

This village has a rich cyclocross history. Big names in cyclocross have already won here. Twenty years ago, there was a world championship, where a Belgian rider became world champion. In the women’s race, a Dutch rider won the first of her eight world titles there.

The famous stairs

The course was designed by a former world champion. A well-known feature is the stairs with more than a hundred steps. During the previous World Championships, it could not be used yet because the cycling union found it too narrow. After a renovation, the stairs are now part of the course.

Champions in the making and top riders

At a championship, riders do not ride for their team, but for their country. Races are held in different age categories, from youth to elite. That makes the weekend a celebration for everyone who loves cyclocross. The battle can also be followed live on television.
