Following the success of the previous concert, the Philippe Lemm Trio returns to Porgy-en-Bess with a new tour.

As the winner of the International B Jazz Competition and the Best Soloist Prize, the Philippe Lemm Trio is regarded as one of the most exciting jazz trios of recent years. Led by New York-based Dutch drummer Philippe Lemm, the group was formed in 2011. After their very first performance, it became clear that there was exceptional chemistry, a musical connection that formed the basis for their international breakthrough.

The trio consists of three musicians with an impressive mastery of their instruments. This virtuosity enables them to reinterpret jazz standards in a completely unique way, immediately moving lovers of modern jazz as well. The interplay is natural and effortless, resulting in passionate musical landscapes in which traditional jazz effortlessly blends with influences from progressive rock and classical music.

A television appearance on Vrije Geluiden led to sold-out concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. The trio performed at leading venues and festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Blue Note New York, the Kennedy Center, Ronnie Scott’s in London, the Pori Jazz Festival, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
